I’m Nicole, and I’m an editor and proofreader.
I specialize in prose and nonfiction writing and resume rehauls.
- I help independent authors get their articles and manuscripts ready for publication.
- I also help businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs prepare reports, marketing materials, and web copy.
- I work closely with academics, particularly in the sciences and education.
- I work with job seekers and professional recruiters to optimize resumes and cover letters, as well.

Ever since I joined my high school newspaper, The Lamp, I’ve loved helping authors polish their writing. The Opinions section launched my ability to nitpick details (I’m looking at you, grammar and punctuation), but my subsequent work in amateur literary publications honed my prose editing skills.
From poetry to short stories and personal essays, I’ve spent over a decade teasing authors’ messages from their work. And don’t worry—I’m a Pisces, and we’re *v* sensitive to criticism, so I know how to suggest changes while also respecting your style and voice.
Unlike many editors out there, my degree is in Physics, and I have a New Jersey license to teach high school science. Through this work, I have conducted scientific research, developed a close personal friendship with APA and MLA citations, and learned a fair share of educational theory.
My personal beliefs and passions often lead me to the work of
- Social and racial justice thinkers (bell hooks 4 lyfe!)
- Professional travel writers (though I am based in New Jersey, USA, I am *technically* a digital nomad)
- Science and speculative fiction authors (Ursula K. LeGuin and Octavia E. Butler are tied for my favorite)
- And slam poets
